There is nothing worse than finding out you have wasted your money on a service or sale and not gotten what
you were asking for.
Taking riding lessons from an un-certified coach, instructor or training from someone who is not recognized
by the C.E.F. is just that; if you are looking for a standard in the equine industry.
Certified coaches have followed a module created by the Canadian Equestrian federation which includes:
National Coaching Certification- specific to equestrian sports, 1st Aid training, can manipulate all excercises
and techniques they are teaching and have acquired a Rider Level superior to what they are teaching you and your child.
I, myself have spent $100's of dollars at equine facilities and then learned that the instructor I was paying
could not assist me in achieving Rider Level Testing.
I could not recognize the hours and money spent in training due to the instructors lack of education and
training through the Canadian Equestrian Federation and that I would now have to start my training again with a certified
coach.
Rider levels have been designed to give students a sense of achievement and create a standard in lesson
programs. Rider levels once achieved will stay on your file with the C.E.F. and will assist you and your coach in obtaining
your goals in riding either recreationally or professionally.
Horseback Riding is an "Extreme Sport." You need to wear protective gear, you need to think for you and
your horse, and unlike Motor Cross; your horse may not "turn off" when you ask!
Why take chances when learning horsemanship skills? Horses are very complex and even experienced horseman
with numerous titles and recognition get seriously injured.
Most professional riders have completed Rider Testing in the C.E.F. modules to prove their education
and experience level to be able to train and compete. Why would you not want your monies spent on training that is recognized
and receive recognition for your efforts?
Why would you put your child's well being in the hands of someone who has not been trained in First Aid,
equine safety or who has completed a coaching module.
Forrestview Farms employs only instructors and coaches who are presently mentoring under certified
coaches to achieve their status or; have completed training and are recognized by the C.E.F. as instructors
or coaches.
We are able to teach students to an advanced level of riding, test and prepare students for instructor
certification.
Our staff participates in the "Learn to Ride" and "Learn to Teach" modules offered by the C.E.F. and continually
will participate in workshops to upgrade their skills and gain knowledge.
Being a coach or instructor is a reasponsibility.
Is your instructor certified? Is your coach recognized by the C.E.F. to teach horsemanship skills??
