Our lesson horses are trained by us, raised from foals or are offspring from our own horses.
We find this eliminates most of the common problems that arise with school horses.
We also only gives lessons in enclosed rings/arenas under the supervision of cerified instructors
and coaches. Safety is first always!
The horses and ponies used in our programs all can execute English Level 6 Rider Patterns or higher with students
in our programs. The horses and ponies have also participated in Level 1 Parelli Horsemanship Training.
Last year we introduced two of our hand raised ponies to the lesson program. “Ray of Sunshine” and “Who
is Cindy Lou Who”.
Both ponies did very well in the program and at the local horse shows and fairs.
This year "Lilly" and "Whiskey" will also be participating in the lesson program as school horses. WE have a new
addition as well "Reno" is a new Paint @ the farm who will be joining us as a lesson horse.
Julie Bailey and April Harris will continue to take on mentors in the instructor program and will be leading
the riders toward rider testing and assisting in the lesson programs.
April Harris will be finishing Rider testing for participants in May 2009 who started in the fall 2008 as well as
welcoming anyone to participate in testing.
