The first step in becomming a Certified Instructor is becomming familiar with the Canadain Equestrian Federations
"Learn to Teach" Module. In this module the requirements are as follows:
Membership to the C.E.F.
Rider Level Testing
N.C.C.P./E.C. Coaching Theory
1st Aid and C.P.R. Training
Mentorship Program
C.E.F. Evaluation
Participants in our program will be given instruction by certified coaches and instructors through the
Canadian Equestrian Federation and tested for Rider Levels required for Instructor Certification through out the 2008
season.
They will also gain Stable Management Skills required for Instructor Certification
and their Mentoring Hours from a certified coach who will assist the participants in obtaining their “Instructor”
status with the C.E.F.
We will assist participants in obtaining their N.C.C.P./E.C., First Aid/C.P.R. Training, attend an
evualuation in the Fall of 2008 and C.E.F. membership.
Participants who follow the module and pass these requirements will achieve instructor certification and be
recognized by the C.E.F. as a Certified Instructor for the 2009 season.
